Planning for Successful School Meetings: Section 504 & IEP Design

At EduSolutionsKC, we empower parents and caregivers to fully understand

and participate in the IEP process. Whether your child is receiving their first IEP or you are preparing for an upcoming annual review or evaluation meeting, we are here to support you every step of the way.

We assist families in identifying priorities and appropriate goals for discussion

so they can come to meetings prepared to fully and actively participate

in decision-making. We also review all documents—such as evaluation reports, IEP drafts, and meeting notices—to ensure that parents understand

what has been provided and what it means for their child.

For those transitioning into the public school system, we offer expert guidance to ensure the initial IEP is thoughtfully designed, accurately reflects your child’s unique needs, and includes the services necessary for success.

Our approach centers on collaboration and clarity, so families feel

confident to actively participate in meetings with their child's school team.

Section 504 & IEP Meeting Representation

At EduSolutionsKC, our Special Education Advocates partner with families to ensure every child receives the support and services they deserve. We provide culturally responsive guidance to help families understand their rights, prepare for IEP and 504 meetings, and navigate school systems with confidence. Our advocates work alongside parents and schools to promote collaboration—not conflict—ensuring that the student remains at the center of every decision.

Additionally, we leverage our connections with experienced Special Education attorneys in our community to provide access to expert advice and legal representation,

if required.

Parent and Sibling Education

At EduSolutionsKC, we believe in supporting the whole family.

Our parent and sibling trainings and support groups are designed to educate, empower, and connect families navigating the challenges

and triumphs of raising a child with special needs.

Parents gain tools to better understand their child’s diagnosis,

advocate effectively, manage stress, and support learning and

behavior at home. Sibling groups offer a safe, age-appropriate space

for brothers and sisters to ask questions, express feelings, and

connect with others who share similar experiences.

Our goal is to create a compassionate community where families feel informed, supported, and never alone.
